800 x 5000 的屏幕分辨率，这可能吗？注意高度是 五千 像素。

今天偶尔浏览我的网站的访问统计，居然看到这样的屏幕分辨率统计结果：

我大大的惊异，居然有能够达到 800×5000 分辨率的屏幕？
难道是N个显示器竖着叠起来组成一个逻辑上的显示器？
有这种可能吗？
不解，大大的不解。

最开始是一个跟我一样迷惑的老外问：

What got me to post this topic was one I saw this morning. The monitor resolution was said to be 800 x 5000. Could this be true? If so what would such a monitor be used for?

然后一帮老外跟着乱猜和继续疑惑：

Maybe it was a line printer (attached to a bot)?

My first guess would be an “error” though.

然后一位达人做了详尽解释：

It might not be all that surprising if it’s Opera Mini, as it does run through a proxy server which alters and chunks the content before sending the reformated bits of web page and compressed images to the phone.

This way, you don’t get caught for the data transfer of some random huge image that is only going to display at 100×100 on your phone.

So it’ll be a pretty faceless machine, which just be reporting some arbitrary screen size.
